Jen started out in the emergency department as a technician in the early 90s – there she witnessed firsthand the complexities of the healthcare system and pressure healthcare providers are under to provide the best quality care to patients under ever-evolving conditions. In 2004, Jen started working in continuing medical education – specifically in the area of medical malpractice. Over nine years, as chief operating officer for an ACCME- and ANCC-accredited online medical-legal CME company, Jen developed unique expertise in healthcare risk management – obtaining her Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management credential from the American Hospital Association and the Certified CME Professional credential (now referred to as the CHCP) from The Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions. Jen founded Goodwin Group in 2013 to focus on quality improvement, educational program development, and virtual project management. Jen obtained the Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) credential in 2016. Jen works hands-on managing healthcare projects for Goodwin clients. She has a unique talent to see the big picture – the ideal outcome and generate a step-wise process to achieve results.
Karen is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and holds a master’s degree in Community Counseling. She spent her early career working in addiction programs, and with adolescents in an alternative school. In 2008, she moved into healthcare risk management education, quality improvement work and project management in healthcare. Karen is inspired to effect change in healthcare because of her own personal experience with the healthcare system. She is an energetic, highly organized problem solver and a motivated task master. She sees the bigger picture when working through complex projects to develop and deploy creative solutions to improve processes. Karen also has diversified corporate experience spanning many industries, including aviation, commercial real estate, counseling, and education. She is serving in her second term as an elected Board of Education Representative, and is currently holding the role of President. Karen is a serious foodie and home-chef, artisan cheese maker, gardener, and mother of three fabulous children and two German shepherds.
Hannah Spodick is graduate of University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences. She has a passion for the healthcare system and an affinity for communication. Hannah hopes to facilitate active and strong connections with healthcare organizations. Hannah champions Goodwin’s video production and editing services, and has produced or edited hundreds of webinar recordings and bite-size learning videos for an array of healthcare and other organizations.
Hannah is an avid horseback rider, enjoys painting and spending time with her dog.
Kelly is a project management professional dedicated to helping projects meet their goals. She spent most of her career serving in healthcare Quality Improvement, project management/support with virtual teams and organizational certification/designation management. She has a passion for connecting the clinical, technical, and lay person by supporting clients with virtual meeting support, technical document review and general project management. Kelly has proven abilities to support clients continuing education efforts through course management; reaccreditation preparation; educational event and meeting hosting; and qualitative and quantitative analysis. Kelly has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Sciences and a Certificate in Adult Learning. Kelly joined Goodwin Group in 2019 bringing expertise in evaluation and quality data analytics, virtual meeting support, and education program management.
Combining a background in writing, hospitality and public health, Jen has managed all aspects of adult education and professional development programming since the late 90s, and in recent years has worked with professional societies on CME programming, providing a framework to help staff stay in alignment with accreditation standards. Jen enjoys helping organizations develop systems to keep their programs running smoothly. Jen is currently pursuing her Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation. Jen is an enthusiastic volunteer, currently serving on the board of a non-profit that works to keep siblings separated in the foster system connected and to give current and former foster youth a platform to have their voices heard, and on the board of a chamber music non-profit.
Mary specializes as project manager, educational assistant, director of customer service, upper level management and self-employed consultant. She is dedicated to creating ease for healthcare organizations. Jen and Mary have worked together in accredited continuing education since 2006.
In her spare time, Mary is an IIN trained health coach, she is an aspiring artist in pottery, fiber art, watercolor and urban sketching. Mary has recently retired after more than 30 years of competitive and world record breaking skydiving. She and her husband have a small farm in Florida where they raise mini-donkeys and rescue animals (one great dane, two ducks, 3 kittens…).

Jan’s 30+ CPD career includes a nursing association, several medical device companies, and 18 years at the Director level in accredited medical education companies. She founded her consulting firm in 2018 focused on accreditation compliance.
Jan is the Immediate Past-President of the Alliance Board, a CHCP, and a FACEHP. Jan is an RN with a BSN and MSN from Indiana University School of Nursing, Indianapolis Indiana.
